Croatian Adriatic. No operators pay to be featured. All advice is our own.">
An independent guide to sailing, catamaran, and gulet charters on the Croatian Adriatic. Written by people who have actually sailed these waters — not by content farms or charter operators with a vested interest in what you book.
Planning a boat charter in Croatia should not require trawling through twenty charter company websites, each presenting their own fleet as the obvious best choice. It should not require decoding the difference between APA and half board while wondering whether the gulet in the photos is actually the one you will sleep on for a week.
When we started planning our own Croatia sailing trips, we found no genuinely independent resource. The top results in Google were charter platforms, operators, and package holiday companies. The advice was either generic or commercially motivated. We built this site to fill that gap.
Croatia Charter Guide is a reference guide written for people who want honest, experience-based information before they commit to a significant amount of money and a week of their life. Every page is written from the perspective of someone planning a charter, not someone selling one.
The site covers the full range of Croatian charter options: bareboat sailing yachts, catamarans, skippered charters, gulets, and day boat hire. We explain how each charter format works, what each actually costs (including all the extras the headline price excludes), and which is right for different types of groups and budgets.
We also cover the practical side of sailing Croatia: the wind patterns, the best routes, the licence requirements, the islands worth visiting, and the anchorages worth protecting from being in someone else's guide.
We do not accept payment for editorial coverage. No charter company, fleet operator, or gulet owner pays to appear in our guides or to be recommended in our content. The operators and vessels we mention are referenced because they are relevant to the reader, not because they have a commercial relationship with this site.
We do earn affiliate commissions from some of the booking platforms we link to (Sailogy, Click&Boat, GetMySailboat). When you click a link to one of these platforms and make a booking, we receive a commission from the platform — not from the individual charter company. This does not influence which platforms we recommend or how we describe them. You will find the same boats at the same prices whether you use our link or go to the platform directly.
Our full affiliate disclosure is available at croatiacharterguide.com/disclaimer.
Charter pricing in Croatia changes annually. Fuel costs, marina tariffs, and peak season rates are reviewed and updated each spring before the main charter season. If you notice that a price, regulation, or fact in one of our guides has changed, please let us know via the contact page. We take accuracy seriously and act on corrections quickly.
Sailing licence requirements and Croatian maritime regulations are reviewed against official Croatian Maritime Authority guidelines each year. The licensing information on this site reflects current Croatian law as we understand it, but it should not be treated as legal advice. Always confirm licensing requirements directly with your charter company before booking.
We read every message. If you have a question about planning a Croatia charter, a correction to suggest, or a charter operator you think we should know about, use the contact page or email us directly at [email protected].
We do not accept sponsored posts, paid links, or guest content from commercial operators. If you are a charter operator and would like to be listed in our directory, see the list your vessel page.
